Heasley Mineralogy Museum in Snee Hall
New York’s Cornell University unveiled scores of mineral specimens and faceted gemstones from the collections of alumni, faculty, and friends. The collections are housed in the Timothy N. Heasley Mineralogy Museum, in the lobby of Snee Hall, home to the Department of Geological Sciences.
The individual items are arranged according to the Dana classification system and include a fine 1865 California gold nugget featuring gold crystals.
